Thanks Cindy
I haven't been logging on much recently and have lost track of your story. Hope you are doing better lately too.

Hi John
Most people here only have good things to say about Humira, so I am optimistic about it, if I end up with this option.

By the way, I love the cheeky look on your dog's face!

Hi Micki
Thnks for the advice about MTX. I am taking it again on Friday, so hopefully I work out this time if I am having a reaction.
I hate not knowing WHY things happen.
It was so hard loking after 2 small kids with gastro, I cant imagine how hard it must be at your place when all 9 of them go down with it!
Thanks for the reply

Hi Wendy
Thanks for replying. I'm doing the low dose too. Do you think it made any difference to your pain overall?

Hi Felicity,

It took many months but, yes, I think so. I was taking prednisone throughout so it was difficult to know whether prednisone or methotrexate was doing the trick. I started lowering the prednisone a few months ago and I'm now down to 3mg. So I doubt that the pred is doing anything much any more. I'm feeling more hopeful that the mtx is working.

I'm off all my opioids except for occasional nights. However, I am still taking celebrex. Once I'm off the pred, I'll try reducing the celebrex.

I didn't feel I really got improvement until my mtx dose was at 20 mg at least and most of the improvement has come since I got it up to 25 mg.
