I missed K's news that you were having a rough time. Glad to see that you had the ability to make a wise but difficult choice. I hope things do nothing but get better for you. Unfortunately things usually don't get wonderful as fast as we like.

I'm so glad to hear that you are getting some help. My ear is available any time and I'll tell you about some of my world class problems. Life ain't easy and with AS it really can be a buster. Hope you get to beat the depression.

I was trying to givee Bruno a call that first day when they wouldn't give me any pain meds, but they said he couldn't take calls because he was in traction in his hospital bed after his 'slight' fall.

Thanks for the encouraging words, and ofering your ear. Not many friends are willing to give you their ear. I think Vincent Van Goah was the last one who offered me his.

I think I forgot to mention this earlier. One thing I was really worried about is the police departmartment finding out what I was in the Hospital for, because they don't like that sort of thing around here, and they have a form that you have to have filled out by your doctor that asks for your diagnosis, among other questions. I thought I was screwed untill I talked to one of the counselors about it, and she informed me that via the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is against the law for an employer to ask a doctor for your diagnosis. So I was lucky, they put my daignosis as admitted to the hospital. It's hard to argue with that being a reason not to come into work.

Kristin has filled me in a bit on what has been going on with you. I am sending you lots of prayers and positive thoughts. I am so proud that you took control of our life starting by going to the ER. That is a HUGE step. Anytime you need to talk, chat, laugh or vent...I am here for you. If you are on MSN...my nick is harleyquinn97. We have to help and take care of one another. You have been so kind and great to so many of us and it is time to return the favor.

Keep us updated on how you are doing. Remember you are not alone...you have 500 friends who care.

I'm so glad you did something postive for YOU. You are a wonderful person and you deserved it. I hope things work out well for you. It may take a while, but you've made the first step. You have been in my prayers every day and you'll stay in my prayers, as I count you as one of friends.

Thanks for your reply. I love your new signature, because it is so true. KA is as close to me as my family is, and I have 500 new, caring and loving family members. I was just taken aback by how much support everyone had shown when I got out of the hospital and logged on. Tuns of PM's and posts wishing me well. It was so touching. I really feel like this is the first day of the rest of my life, and I like that, whereas before I would have rather it been the last day of my life. I am feeling so good now. Thank you very much for the prayers and positive thoughts.
