If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Well fellow chasers of the dimpled little ball... I am going to suck it up and tackle this little beauty today. Eaglesticks I haven't played this one since right after it opened. Just prior to AS days. And this is the first time out since my legs and balance really went out on me. Should be interesting. So I popped an extra preddy, yeah I'm still giving the humira a little assistance. Now to find some good golf attire that I can still get into after months of pred.

Looks lovely Chris - I hope you have a nice time out there.
Loz and I played today for the first time as members at the club we recently joined. First on the course this morning at 715 - with the groundskeepers and everything!!! Probably a bit too early for our AS joints, but nice all the same. I didn't count the front nine - +++ pressure with the groundskeepers waiting on us to take shots, plus the on again off again of the waterproofs, etc etc. - which made it more enjoyable - was just able to be out in there instead of berating myself for not playing better....
Know completely how you feel about the pred - I'm still on maintenance. But if you saw some of the outfits we saw out there today, you wouldn't be so concerned.
Wishing you relative comfort, flexibility and strength!
Hugs, Jxxx

Well I survived!! That is about all that can be said about my comfort level and my game yesterday.. I give the course an "OFF LIMITS" for ASers. While you do take a cart there is still a ton of walking and nothing on level ground. Nearly every hole has a major elevation change. The game held together until the back 9. By then my right SI was reminding me that I'm not supposed to do this. And for my fellow golfers, imagine taking a swing with your right SI grinding at you. It is nearly impossible to stay down and come through the ball. You immediately want to stand up when you should be tucking that right elbow and sitting on your shot. Instead you straighten up to prevent the pain and pile drive the ball straight into the ground. Finished the day with an 84. The course was packed. It took us 5 hours to play 18. But it was a great day. Now where is that guy that said any day on a golf course of a great day! I'm gonna choke him..

It baffles Jeanna and myself how you can pile-drive the ball into the ground yet still hit an 84! You must have hit a whole stack of great shots to get that score Chris Sounds like hard work over 5 hours though, that can happen on Saturdays at the course at which my dad and I used to be a member and Jeanna also knows very well now. If there's one thing that guarantees a poor shot from me it's waiting too long to play it - my brain starts getting in the way of hitting my best (unthinking) stroke. If you truly want to 'blame' something for a score that I've yet to match, blame the hanging around that caused you to over-think things. I can only say congrats. I wish I could hit 84, but with a recent 89 (my best ever) I suppose I might just do it one day. Then Watch Out mister 79!!! Cheers,

Yep, I should be glad I shot an 84. I had a great front side going out at +3. The back nine mostly lays up in a deep valley, kind of inside the front nine. There is a lot of walking up and down steep hills to and from the carts. That side I totally blew up on. The play slowed to a crawl, and so did I. The SI's and hips began screaming and the over compensation in the swing commenced. I couldn't buy a shot, coming in with a +11, +14 for the round. What really sucks is that it is the good swings that hurt. Guess its back to the range with my coach and see if I can develop a K.J. Choi style swing. More arms, less lower body motion.

84 SPECTACULAR. I consider any round under 90 with my AS a minor miracle. Used to happen a bit here and there for me now I have to choose a very easy course and pray for most putts to fall. Last to outings here were 92 and 102 and I actually thought I hit the ball well the day I carded the 102.
Nice to ve out there even if it took you 5 hours.

Golf! One of my new passions! I used to say the only thing more boring than watching golf was listening to it on the radio. But...about a month ago, I played 9 on a beat up old course...next day...9 more. Did better second day..that was it...I left course and straight to buy myself some pretty purple clubs, a glove, and some golf shoes. All was on sale, so it was a great day! And by the way Chris...I golf about an 80...for 9 holes that is Can't wait for the spring! They tell me central Alberta is jammed with tons of courses. Cheers, Steph And Steve!! Wow! Look at how big your babies are now~~ They're beautiful!!

Oh Steph, I am truly sorry to hear this... Welcome to the club! My local course is a beat up old course, it is a little 9 hole course on our fairgrounds. I play it about once a week during the summer. But usually drive the 30-35 miles to the nicer courses in the bigger cities to the north and south of me.

My Dad golfs, so does my husband and son. Previous to mid September, I had only golfed 5 times at work fun tourney, where it involved blind folds, pool cues and sitting while teeing off, oh, and alcohol. Although much fun, it hardly developed my skills But I think I have the fever! Will take lessons in the spring...never a good idea for a spouse to teach...well, for me anyway. He doesn't have the patience. haha Cheers, Steph

Welcome to the dark side Steph!
Golf is like a disease for which you don't wish to find the cure. From the frustration, the tears and the profanity(!) caused by poor shots to the joy and sense sense of wonder and achievement that accompanies every good shot you hit, golf is both awful and wonderful but never, ever boring.
If I had the opportunity, the cash and the fitness I'd play every day. Only 18 holes a day though, don't want to overdo it ;^)
Have fun out there, that's important.
Cheese ;^)
