If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi everyone. Not sure how much longer I will have internet. Phone lines and home internet are down, relying on backup wireless but not much credit left on it.
Thoughts an prayers please we have some of the worst floods ever. Meant to be worse than our famous 1974 floods. Brisbane is going under over 80 suburbs to be affected. Country QLD is flooded and have had flash floods. Here where I am is wet but not flooding but we have no way to get anywhere on the mainland. Surburbs arround us are all flooded and isolated. 9 confirmed dead so far and over 60 people still missing.
My daughter is stuck at Strathpine and just watching and waiting to see if she will have to be evacuated.Friends and family already evacuated in many suburbs. Flood peaks aren't even meant to hit until Thursday afternoon it's 7pm Tuesday now.
Any thoughts and prayers are much apreciated. Thanks Trish xxxx

Oh no Trish!!! Do you have a shelter to go to or an evacuation plan? Put some bottled water, canned goods, blankets and an axe in the attic so you'll have supplies and a way to cut your way out if the waters rise that high...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...I pray the Lord will watch over and protect you, your family and all those affected by this...please keep us posted and God Bless, Trish...

Thanks Michelle, We should be ok where we are on the island only storm water drains flood oh and my back yard and lower level of the house but just rain water not river floods but isolated over here. I worry about my daughter even though I know the people she is with are reasponsible and trustworthy but still worry. Not sure when she will get home she has been there 2 days already.
I got the last 2 bottles of 3l milk at the shop and the last 4 loaves of bread. Got some tinned soup and milk powder also. Should be ok here for about a week but no idea how long untill suplies will come in. Some dairy farms are letting their milk out as trucks can't come to collect it.
Death toll is now at 10 with 60 missing and grave fears for 15 more. 75% of QLD is classified disaster zones. And QLD is a huge state.
Not sure how long credit will last on wireless all landline phones and internet our out on the Island but will update when I can.
How are you going now? Hopefully 2011 is a happier year for you. Trish xxxx

Been thinking of you, and wondering if there are any other QLDers on the forum. I hope you and all your loved ones keep safe, and that there is no further loss of life. Stressful times!

Trish, I've been watching the news from Queensland for weeks. And have been watching the boards, hoping someone would check in. It's all very frightening!! I'd even heard there was a cyclone!
Check in when you can, but take good care of you. I'm sure your daughter will be fine!!
Warm hugs,
Kat
