Floods are now reported to cover an area larger than France and Germany combined.

I have been watching and things are not good. I pray that help can come and the waters will somehow subside with as little loss of life and injury as possible.

I hope you guys will stay safe, please check in when and if you can.

Hugs,

Lisa

Just had some fantastic news. My great uncle has been located at an evacuation center. He had refused to evacuate but then we believe he was made to go. His house is now under water and sadly no news of what happened to the little calves and sheep he had there. But at least he is ok. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.

Also waters in Ipswich have peaked arround 1974 flood levels and not higher and are already starting to go down a little. Absolute devistation though. Brisbane floods will peak at high tide at 3am so police are trying to make sure everyone evacuates before night time and that they don't go to bed thinking they will be ok only to have water come up in the early hours before they wake. Waters will then peak again with the high tide tomorrow afternoon. And are not expected to go down for a few days.

Trish - Thanks for update. TG your duaghter is safe and now at home with you. Relief. Hope you get news of g. uncle soon.

See news every newscast, horrific. Prayers for continued safety for all - and that the next onslaught will not be too ghastly... Amazing work from all the services - really pulling out all the stops. (Reinds me too much of WW2, everyone looking and pulling for each other. Indomitable spirits!)

Keep dry an safe.

TG your g. uncle is safe, but soooo sad for the animals. Your uncle will be heartbroken by that. The devastation for all out there is, no words to describe. Be safe - prayers are with you ALL.

Trish, been thinking about you all week, hoping you and your family were safe. The news clips have been horrific showing all the devastation there. So glad for your updates here. I felt like I was there with you. Thankfully your family members are all safe, the most important. Buildings can be replaced. It is sad to here of you GU animals. They may be found okay yet as animals are smarter than people in these instances.
Prayers continued for you, your family, and neghbors.

Trish, thank you so much for even thinking to update us right now. I'm so glad your great-uncle was found safe and sound. The news footage is horrible to see and I'm sending white light and love for all I'm worth.

Just take care of you and yours, hon.

Warm hugs,

Kat

I am so glad you daughter and great uncle are safe. That is whats important. It's too bad so many people lost their homes. Once the water goes down, perhaps people will start thinking about how to prevent so much damage in the future. If floods happened in 1974 and 2011, it can/will happen in the future.
