But it's mild. I went to see my eye dr today and he said the iritis has returned ... on a scale from 1 to 10, it's a 4 so have to go back to doc for follow up this Friday ....and two different eye drops... one twice a day and another one every two hours... (do i have to wake up every two hours while in bed???) ... he wants to try and nip it in the bud ... ugh ... and I'm not pleased about having to pay $45 for both eye drops!!!  Sorry I haven't been on much lately, just working alot and living my life and the AS has been in remission for 4.5 years now and Enbrel is still my best friend!

Sorry to hear that, hon! Hope you feel better soon. My doctor told me do not wake up for each dose all night long. But, if I wake up, go ahead, put the eye drops in, go back to sleep.

Cher, it's good to see you, but I wish the iritis hadn't returned. That bites big time. There's a goop you can get to put in your eye before you go to bed at night. Makes it so you don't have to wake up repeatedly to administer the drops. You might ask the ophthie about that. I was given it the last time I had iritis, because otherwise I'd've had to wake up every hour to put the Predforte in.
I hope this clears up really soon for you.

Iritis=YUK But, I'm glad to hear it is mild.
What were your symptoms? Red eye and sun sensitive.

Hi Cher, Sorry you have iritis again. No, you don't need to wake up in the night to do the eye drops, just make sure to start as soon as you wake up and to SHAKE the pred bottle really well before administering a drop. The nightime steroid ointment is 'generally' prescribed when you begin with an hourly dose (or more frequent) of the daytime Pred drops, since the dosages needs to roughly match and then tapered down. Sounds like you caught it relatively early so hopefully this attack won't take too long to get under control. It always seems long though.  All the best! mig
