The entire West coast of both North and South America is always in danger of earthquakes. The experts say that S Ca is past due for the Big One. N. Ca, Oregon and Washington all have areas of volcanic activity. I can see Mt. Lassen and Shasta from our home. It's all part of living in the ring of fire.

From what I have read, there isn't any part of the US that is free from all earthquake activity.

I agree, Michelle, there seems to be one natural disaster after another and all across the globe. It's devastating.

I am now in Japan but I am fine.
The situation seems to be not good.
There was a second nuclear reactor explosion
this morning. The gov. said radiation leak is
very small and not going to cause health problem.
But people are still worried about if that is
true or not.
Power rationing is going to start today.
People who can afford to leave for another country
is leaving.
I hope the situation will be getting better soon.

I hope so too CharlieChen. I cannot believe what the Japanese people are having to deal with - earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor failure all at the same time and now volcano eruption to top it off. Unreal and utterly tragic.
