If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have the best doctor!! Love him. I wrote out almost 2 pages describing the whole thing, (took me awhile lol) he read the whole thing, took me seriously, (! <3 ) did blood tests, ordered an MRI STAT, got me a referral with a new neurologist, PERSONALLY read my spinal/brain MRIs, is sending me back for more PT (yay!) and I have a feeling his loser Physician's ASSistant isn't really the shining star of the clinic today . . .
He says it could be either: MS, Hemiplegic migraines (was it Kat who suggested this a while back?) or the goshdarn (I am paraphrasing) lovely Herpesvirus, (HSV1) which we caught from my mother-in-law and which showed itself on her and Cody as "an occasional cold sore" but chose to manifest itself in me as herpetic gingivostomatitis (which flippin BLOWS, lemme tell you). Dr. E thinks it's probably NOT herpetic encephalitis, since I'm healing so quickly, but it's up for consideration, anyway.
AND he gave me ketelog (sp?) and lidocaine injections in the SIs just because he's great. BOY did it hurt locating those points! You know the injection is needed when the needle actually hurts far, far less than just a slight pressure on the spot! My SIs are already feeling better, and I got the injections 12 hours ago.
He keeps renewing my faith in Doctorkind. Bless him. I'm praying the MRI happens before we get kicked off Medicaid.
My right side is still a BIT twitchy/shaky, but it's barely noticeable now. I am grateful for that. I know it's terrible of me, but I honestly do NOT like looking retarded. I hope that doesn't offend anybody. But remember the crap kids on the playground do, they imitate twitches and spasms to torment other kids, and I don't want the other kids making fun of Bailey and saying her mom's a retard. GRANTED, I'm almost certain she'd kick ALL their butts, push their faces into the ground and make them tearfully "take it back," (bless her, she's a feisty one!! I'm so proud.) but still, I'M a weak person who was tormented in school (glasses, crutches, braces, skipped a grade, teacher's pet, AND almost the only white kid in school) and I can't handle that crap anymore. I still have nightmares about it. Which brings up an interesting thought I should ask in another thread.
Ok gonna go do that now, then go to bed. Got up early today for that appt and then got 8 or 9 steroid injections (hmm . . . maybe i won't be able to sleep . . .)

Bridge, I'm so glad to hear this! You have one class act doctor and it's good to know he's not only taking you seriously, but acting on it as quickly as he can.
I know what you mean about bullying. I was the one of the ones they picked on at our school. I never understood why. My father always told me it was that they were just jealous. Of course, my first question was, "Of what??!" You are sweet to worry about Bailey in this, but from what you say, she's a lot like you ... She'll kick butt!
You just keep taking care of you.
Warm hugs,
Kat

Ah, my dear Bridge, I am glad you have a believer for a doctor. Because I was short in school, I was picked on. It made me a fighter, always throw the first puch and make it count.... kind of kidIt does change us a bit, yet, the kind of love you and hubby have will nurture her always. Just like you are growing as a person now. Love is strong and conquerors all things!!!!! At times love is the toughest thing on this earth, conquering even the worst hatred.

Bridge,
When my kids were young I used to worry that they would be ashamed of me because of what AS had done to me. I don't think kids worry about that so much. As I sit here with ice strapped to my ankle, and leg all scrapped up.
Glad you doctor is taking care of you. I hope it is something more curable than MS.

being tormented by others doesn't indicate that we are weak, only that those doing the tormenting are. usually it is those with the lowest self esteem and greatest insecurities that bully others. and personally, i think some of this in grade school made me a much more compassionate person than i might otherwise have been. you're awesome just the way you are! and if you can take bailey's "high spirits" and mix it with compassion, then she'll be quite the force to reckoned with.

I had another "episode" this evening, I felt really weird, like maybe a paralysys i=om the way. Headache started and I started puking up dinner.too and Imitrex pill at 9 (now 12) and I def feel stoned but also not flashing in and out and paralyseed or shaking real badl sorry my spelling sux tonight
And in the last two weeksm totally ot, I've been accused of making fun of NM students (of which I AM one, from one of the worst public schools in the country) for being "Stupid," I've been accused of scamming my uncle for money, I've been accused of being RACIST!?! My friends' husbands (and some of the friends themselves) are actually scared of me. Maybe when I finally found my confidence, I got too much? I was actually accused (by someone who's know me and my parents my entire life) accuse me of looking down on the poor people because I'm "Wealthy!" CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? We all grew up with outhouses, heated with wood, but still slept cold, never had a new toy - EVER. Our school is one of the worst 12 in the country or something. How come it seems like nobody understands me anymore? I am a genuinely nice, kind person but somehoe I always come across and a mean. stuck up [*bleep*]?

If you are having another episode, you need to get to the ER, no matter how inconvenient it is to go there. Go NOW!

Whoa . . . I don't remember making that post last night. I made it through last night with some interesting hallucinations (the med paperwork says that's a possibility and "Tell your doctor about it the next time you see him"). i saw pretty butterflies and friendly cartoon characters. I'm supposed to tke one Imitrex per day for 9 days. I took one this evening bout 7 (I could feel the "stuff" coming back at that point) and now I'm moderately stoned, moderately nauseated, but in general I'm ok. I want to talk to the doc tomorrow. I still feel weird and I don't want to tke 9 days of a med I don't need (if it's NOT migraine that's doing this to me).
