If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

My doc (general physician)suggested that i should take Cod live oil tablets (SEA COD) regulary with my diet in night and told me it will help me with AS in the long run.
I have started taking in for 2 days now, but wanted to know your suggestions & comments.

Manju, At lest your GP is thinking out of the box, which makes a change. I take 3x 1000mg or Omega 3 fish oil supplements every day, up from 1 per day. Have done for years. Oily fish even better. I'm not actually sure whether these have helped me or not with any pain relief, as I've now took them for such a long time now. Worth a read:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-3_fatty_acidGeorge.

Just wanted to leave an FYI about omega 3's. Not sure if you already know and do it but lots dont. take lots of vitamin E with your fish oils. Omega's arent easily absorb in our bodies and vitamin e helps keep the fish oil from going rancid Nat
When you live with chronic pain, you never tell the truth. When someone asks you how you are or how you feel, you lie & say, I'm fine or I'm OK, & you smile.

i take 3000 mg Omega 3 in the form of Nordics Naturals: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/br...hipConfirmationits made from small fish from icelandic waters, supposedly low in heavy metals like mercury. not sure how much it helps my inflammatory arthritis, but it has been helping my cholesterol levels. and i do feel better between flares, so this along with all my other supplements seem to be doing something. hard to tease apart what is doing what. i too store mine in the fridge.

Spondyloarthropathy, HLAB27 negative Humira (still methylprednisone for flares, just not as often. Aleve if needed, rarely.) LDN/zanaflex/flector patches over SI/ice vits C, D. probiotics. hyaluronic acid. CoQ, Mg, Ca, K. chiro walk, bike no dairy (casein sensitivity), limited eggs, limited yeast (bread)

From what I had heard, fish oils and glucosamine have a reasonable level of proven usefulness in RA, but not quite as obvious (or not as well studied) usefulness in AS. However that doesn't mean they aren't useful and as its something really easy that we can do for ourselves at fairly low cost, then why not. Personally I can't handle fish oils at all, which is a bit of a pity.
