If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Rumble, sometimes I think that pred can either make you end up with a cold (particularly if it starts with a bit of a sore throat) for a few days after finishing it. I know its done it to me the last couple of times. Not sure if its decreased resistance, or a pred irritated throat that leads to a cold, but either way I've had that. Doesn't seem to last with me the way normal colds do though, and over with in a few days if I look after myself (and take tylenol)

As late as noon on Friday, I thought it was a sinus infection. But an hour later, it was painfully clear that it was a nasty stomach/intestinal flu. Almost exactly 24 hrs from start to finish. No more sinus pain, but I'll finish the 7 days of antibiotics because it's the right thing to do. And my hubby is sick now. I went to work Thursday and came home nearly sick. A few more hours was all it took. Very quick and nasty--two days missed from work. Around the time I was starting to feel a little better, my hubby had caught it. And all you ladies know how bad guys are when they are sick. He's likely getting just past the 24 hrs now and will have to go to work tomorrow. I have another day off. LOL. The immune-suppressed person got sick, but so did the non-immune-suppressed person. He asked me if I learned something. Bwahahaha. Yup--all of us are going to get it, doesn't matter what meds you take. Too funny. My roommates on the ship didn't get sick, so I caught this at work. Gut is a little gurgly still and I'm still VERY tired. Yesterday was last day of pred.

I made up a reply, but apparently was too tired last night to hit <post> and it's gone.
Actually feel human today. After 5 days of illness. But that's BARELY human. Will go to work, but if I end up with a busy station, I'll trade for something quieter. Still gurgling in intestines, though. May keep going with the immodium another day. Last time I had a bug like this, it took another few days of medicating to get past that irritation. My gut is pretty sensitive, apparently.
Lon, hubby was convinced last night that he would need to be hospitalized today to get fluids. I kept telling him to sip water, but he insisted on gulping sprite and he puked again. So I told him to sip the sprite after he ate a bit of ramen noodles broth (lots of sodium there!) He slept all night without puking and feels better today, though he's going to work from home instead of driving. Both of us being sick is bad news as neither of us has much tolerance when we are sick. He lashes out and I crawl in a corner to hide. And as a mother, I could take care of the kids when they were puking, but I'm out of practice after 25 yrs. Now, the sound of it makes me gag, so it's been very unpleasant around here for a few days. Desensitization? Hardly.
So men are babies when they are sick. I stand by my words.
