What possi said regarding paraffin wax bath, heating pad, etc.

I keep my parrafin wax bath plugged in and ready all the time; its on my bedroom floor; i mostly use it when i first get out of bed if not going immediately to the shower. also at the end of the day right before bed it is nice.

its a nice big one, good for my hands or my feet. i bought cloth strips to put in there so i could use the wax on other body parts, but that got kinda messy and harder to reuse the wax.

i got mine on line. paid a little more but i figured it would last longer and keeping it plugged in, i wanted it to be really safe, electrical-wise.

i buy the scented wax beads from that company; they are nice. a bit of aromatherapy as i use my wax bath.

and i use my heating pad on low on my back every day as i sit. both in the recliner at home. and at my office at work in the chair with the back to it.

but if i'm flaring; if something is inflamed, then ice is the way for me to go. heat will make my inflammation worse.

my regular crocs bother my feet; may have to look into the ones that possi is recommending.

Thank you again for all your replies, I shall definitely start trying the suggestions & see how it goes. I've just started methotrexate and am hoping that may provide some relief!

On a positive note, I am visiting my husband this weekend (he's currently living in a different state as he got a great job, I've been waiting to have my spinal cord stimulator implanted before I join him) and the bed he has is AMAZING!!!! For the first time in I don't know how many months, I wasn't awake at 4am with my pelvis in agony, I slept until 6.30am which is huge for me!!! We are SO buying a new bed when I move up to be with him!!! It's the small things that count grin

You're not wrong Possi, getting a half decent sleep makes everything seem more manageable somehow & lack of sleep has definitely been getting me down lately! Here's to more good sleep for all of us :-)
