I know in the grand scheme of things, my situation is not a huge deal but....

You know of all of the eye problems that I have. I had been having weird vision losses in one eye; when bending over, turning a certain way in bed, a painful spasm behind it and losing the sight. My Optho gave me a very thorough exam. I saw two different ones at the Eye Institute and she talked to my Neuro-Optho.

They said they can't see anything wrong with my eye and they think it is either vascular or neurological.

My rheumatologist did blood work for Myasthenia Gravis (my eyelid also just won't lift at times). It came back negative. My cardiologist did ultra-sounds of my carotid arteries last Thursday and this Wednesday, he did a Transesophageal Echocardiogram ruling out a tiny tear or hole in my heart. Thankfully that was all negative. He thinks I need to have a brain scan. I just haven't been ready to go the neuro again.

My throat is still very sore and I was having esophagus spasms yesterday but they are better today.

Anyway.....that was my week.

I have had optic migraines diagnosed in the past (like 20 years ago). It may be that again with a different manifestation.

I hope you are all feeling as well as possible and enjoying the holiday season. Our next door neighbors put lights on the house and the daughters/grands put up the tree and decorated it. I haven't done any shopping but I suppose I am about through. smile

Have a great weekend.

Hugs and Blessings. hugss

Hi Possi,

Hope the eye problems aren't anything serious, hoping "just" optical migraines" or something you have already dealt with; I get migraines (the painful head kind) and while they are not fun, been having them so long that they don't scare me, so hoping something similar for you.

If you do feel like shopping for christmas but just can't get out, I do a lot of my shopping via the internet these days, especially when I can't get in the car to drive. You can buy just about anything via the internet these days, practically all of it from amazon smile

Hugs that they didn't find anything wrong. And hugs because they are still looking.

Shop online. It's the bomb.

Glad you will be surrounded with family for the holidays. Have a great time. Getting out in the cold really isn't something you'll enjoy. Keep warm.

Hope your eye problems ease off, but good that you have been checked out thoroughly.

Yes, definitely go for the online shopping. Its the only sensible way.

Hi Possi,

Hope the doctors figure out what is causing your eye problems. Sorry to hear about your throat spasms. Hope that goes away too. I suffered an optical migraine a few weeks ago and my doctor put me back on amitriptyline again and that has seemed to help. Four days of Prednisone did nothing for it.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and your symptoms are minimal.

Keep us posted Possi

Omg I had those ocular migraines when I was in high school. Was healthy as an ox then. I had to pull over when I was driving and everything. I found out what caused mine. I didn't have any for about 10 years then had 1 a year or so ago. Them things suck!!! What can they do for them, anything?

Possi I hope these things get ironed out it sounds like you are making progress! You are so much better than this utter crap.

Hello Friends,

Thank you for your encouragement. I did get shopping done. I have been doing online shopping for quite a while and for the out of state kids/grands did the "Bill To/Ship To" so I didn't have to stand in line to ship. We made it to the mall a couple of times. We seriously aren't doing a lot of shopping. The grands are all grown so we did gift cards and wrote checks.
We did have fun shopping for the great grand baby. At 5 months, he won't care much except for paper and ribbons. What fun to have a little one around again.

I overdid the shopping and Christmas activities and have been in a huge CNS Lupus flare again. My eye lids would not raise at all. That was one of the reasons for the MG tests. I have been very exhausted. I have a nurse appt. at 8:00 in the a.m. for a Kenalog injection. It helped a lot last time. This should also help pin down if these problems are inflammatory.

Blessings.

I hope you all are doing well and are enjoying the season.
