If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Beloved, I have taken BP meds for 25 years. But recently I have been unable to get it down. I am on three (3) meds and it is still 196/98 as I woke this morning. I have been in a lot of pain again. I do exercise. I do eat the good food.. yes still getting my chocolate..... my Dad, two brothers are (were the same way.
Any tips for a natural way to get this BP down?
I am not afraid of the dark- but I do look good in blue. I am heavy set- but I get a nice sheen when I sweat. My jokes are not funny, but people still laugh. I sometimes forget to wash both arm pits, but I do use plenty of garlic that dangles from an old dog collar. I get so upset when I can't find Waldo.... My personal frontier is deciding which side to part my hair. I can't remember the reason for going to the bathroom, till I have left the house and in the car.
I got beside myself again yesterday.. then Lennie up and ran away with my self esteem.
The Charlie horses I get in my legs wanted to pull with the Budwiser team, but they were the wrong color
Nervous people make me nervous. and of course roughage / fiber makes me sad.
tanks for reading, I sure get a lot out of reading your posts. but I did drop a stitch yesterday and had to buy a new one. Love you all just 11 months until Christmas.

Lonnie,
We've fought this battle. We've taken it a fair way to winning it, too. It's taken strict lifestyle changes involving, basically, moderation in all things gastric and exercise as much as possible. Also laugh a lot. And do things we love a lot. My sweetie has been able to come off all but two of his blood pressure meds, both of which he's taking at very low levels.
A lot of it has been lowering stress levels and getting his various health conditions under control. We've been able to lower his meds all across the board as he's lost weight and become physically fit again. It's been difficult because he has PsA and diabetic nerve stuff going on in his feet, but he's persevered and stops when he has to.
And we eat very little in the way of processed foods. We always try to do our own cooking and control the salt levels. And lots of water.
See, the thing is, I know you already do a lot of those things. I hope we can help you find the thing that tips the balance in your favour. That's an awfully high morning reading.
Agape,
Kat

Hi Lon,
Sorry I can't help you; I have a feeling anything I suggested (the obvious things) you already know about and are doing.
Good to see you here, cracking your usual jokes and brightening up my day.

Br'er Lon!
FAST. By day 5 or 6 my bp is rock solid 120/80 and require no meds at all. Then stay that way for a while to get rid of last vestiges of AS [current--not the damage of course...] so that when You break the fast with non-starchy comestibles You can get onto an EXERCISE regimen that gets rate up >140bps for >15 minutes/day. Supplement with magnesium, calcium, copper, vitD, niacin plus niacinamide, and EFAs.
But most important--stay far far away from members of the opposite party and CNN!
Just keep being YOURSELF--none of us wants THAT job!
HEALTH, John

Good Luck finding something that will help. My Dad had an issue between blood pressure and cholesterol meds. I suffer from white coat hysteria so I take mine every morning. At home it runs 135-125/ 60-75 in the Dr office 160/80. We had a supper snowy January.

I was diagnosed with HP in 2001 after surgery. I find that exercise helps to control it along with my meds. I participate in water aerobics 3X a week. You could also try yoga. I really enjoy "Holy Yoga" by Brooke Boon.

Not sure but I saw a special on CNN by Dr. Sanja Gupta talking about heart disease and cholesterol. Apparently this is different from high blood pressure? So I am not sure what I'm saying is helpful but there were a lot of interesting concepts in his show.
One thing I found particularly interesting is this idea of a low cholesterol diet reversing the plaque. What was intriguing to me was the fact that this diet was different from an anti-inflammatory diet. And oil was bad in their diet and I believe its bad in an AS diet too. But medium index carbs were ok for them... hmmm oh and so was sugar. Which is a huge no-no in inflammation, according to dr. oz and a bunch of others.
Also they talked about the size of LDL particulars. And smaller ones were much more harmful. One doctor went as far to say that the blood tests known to test for high cholesterol were useless and didn't say anything about the situation. Elderly women were known to have high LDL with no small particulars and no heart disease across the board... That particular subset of patients that is.
They also showed the differences in the appearance of one's plasma based on diet. They could have gone into much more detail comparing a bunch of different subsets of patients but they didn't. The blood of the people with disease and a bad diet looked incredibly harmful compared to the clean blood.
Nice to put a picture to it.

Hey Lon,
Sorry to hear about the blood pressure issue. Runs in my family on my mother's side... so I grew up eating everything without salt pretty much.
Not much on the advice except for the salt.. fortunately I do not have issues with blood pressure, I think the NSD really keeps it in check and all the veggies.
Hope you can find an answer.
Tim
