Thank you, Mike. The surgery was just early enough for me to be reasonably mobile by Christmas Day. It wouldn't be much fun to have the surgery less than two weeks before as the first days are quite tough! But this was perfect timing. And my daughter-in-law did a lovely job of decorating my Christmas tree for me.

Thanks Brad! I saw my surgeon yesterday who seemd quite pleased but my physio wants me to practice my gait as I'm not walking as straight as I should be.

Meds: MTX since Oct 2009, 15mg/week. Cimzia-restarted after 2 yrs away.

Thank you, Possi! It did feel like a big challenge to do both hips in one year but I'm so, so glad they're done!
I'm sorry not to be around so much at the moment - so hard to fit in work, school, grandchildren, new hips, and hobbies! And still find enough time to connect on KA. I check in periodically and read posts but don't have quite enough time to reply!
I've been off work for eight weeks so had a bit more time for reading and chatting! But back to work on Monday!

Thank you, Rumble! The strange thing is that getting a new hip makes you feel very vulnerable and not tough at all for a while!! Getting stronger though. Each day I try to increase my exercise walk by one hydro pole!! Walked 20 hydro poles distance today! Not sure whether there is a standard distance between hydro poles. (I mean the poles that carry electrical supply cables in case "hydro" is a British Columbia word!!)
