Walked to the recreation center lifted some weights, 15 minutes on the elliptical, then walked back home. It is about 3/4 of a mile to the rec. center.
Still here walking the dog wrestling with Grandkids mowing the grass washing a used trailer camper that we bought!
go team go!
Good job!
I'm bereft of grandkids right now... most are out of the country with their other grandparents.

Good job Steve!
I've stumbled across this awesome YouTube channel called ACE Fitness. They have some really great training videos on balance and muscle function. I've been getting some good results from watching them and making small adjustments.
Tuesday - 4x30 seconds all out bursts on stationery indoor bike (5 mins rest in between)
Wednesday weights - (3x8 bench press, 3x8 weighted dips, 3x8 bent over barbell rows)
Thursday - 4x30 seconds bike again
Friday weights - 3x6 dead lifts, 3x10 non weighted chin ups, 3x10 incline bench press
Saturday - nothing
Sunday - maybe a few push ups and chins ups or short bike work if I feel like it.
Always 4-5 mins rest in between each set of weights or bike. I spend more time resting/recovering than I do actually exercising Works for me though.
My day job has me sitting in front of a computer.
Deadlifts and Squats will quickly give me an indication of where my inflammation is at. More inflammation.....can't lift or squat the weight.....less inflammation.....can lift more weight more easily.

Welcome here and great job with your workout routine!
Today I rode the stationary bike for 20 minutes and the elliptical without arms for 5 minutes, then came home and spent the rest of the day studying and cleaning house to stretch..

after "tweaking" my SI joint on Monday (you know, shower, bend over quickly to dry leg, feel back go into spasm, then joint very sore for days), first day i was able to take a walk again.
kept it short to not overtax it, ½ mile, 20 minutes.

Friday did some weight lifting. Saturday I ran for the first time since my fall. I just ran 3 miles, and I walked about 1/2 mile of the 3 miles. My wife was not happy she thinks I should be done running. She wants me to just use the elliptical.
Hello all and G'day dlee. Good to see you here. I am out of routine but I keep wanting.
I went kayaking with my son the other day. 1 hour going at it. I was wrecked. We got out and took off the wet suits. I was wet through and he was bone dry..... He hadn't done anything, I mean nothing. That is the last father and son kayaking experiment for at least 5 years until he at least pretends to take on some of the workload.
we were in the northwest of Ireland. It was spectacular. Cycling, kayaking, spectacular Birds of prey show which was truly marvelous, canopy walking, caves with rivers and we found the source of the longest river in the British Isles. A really amazing holiday in a part of Ireland I didn't know about. Next I have 2 weeks camping/self catering in Croatia with my girlfriend. Summer when you have holidays is lovely. Fingers crossed I can keep it going like this.
Oh ye! I have to get fit and lose the belly... there's always something hmmm. The food in granny's house is too good though.
Good job walking, running, kayaking, cycling, and moving everyone!!!
I've been learning restorative yoga. I can't do all the movements, but just trying is really improving my joint function.
I'm still doing the elliptical a few days per week, but layed off of the strength training until I get better joint function. Swimming e/o day for 30-40 minutes. Doing more backstroke and trying to learn the "frog" stroke to strengthen my long spine muscles.
This remission has been great and also challenging. It took me 4+ months to titrate off of cymbalta, 1 month to titrate off of flexaril, and now I'm starting a 10 month taper off of clonezepam. SHEESH!
I still have all day pain though the severity is decreased by 10X, and not the sickness that I used to have either... as long as I stay off of the foods I'm allergic to.
My goal is to be super fit in a year so that if I ever have another regression, I'll have the best base to start from. This last 7+ year episode came on when I was NOT in great condition, and I don't want that to ever happen again.
