Hey there fellow AS warriors!

I am new to this site, but not new to the AS journey. I received my diagnosis from a rheumatologist this week... after only 13 years of pain!

I have started the process of getting on Humira, or another anti-TNF medication. The whole process is a bit overwhelming. However, I am hopeful that I will feel significant relief from this medication. I have friends that have described it as life-changing.

I am relieved to have stumbled upon this support group. It's so nice to know that we aren't alone (even though I really wish none of us NEEDED to be here).

A little about me... I am 32, I teach elementary special education, and have an amazing pup who keeps me moving (and laughing) at home.

Anywho... I wanted to say hello, and I look forward to getting to know everyone better. Keep kicking AS!

Hello from England. Lovely to meet you here. Your diagnosis wait seems familiar and am sure will prompt many here to tell their own particular tale of the 'what's wrong with me woes.'

I've never been to Texas, if ever I do I shall call in for tea!

My best to you

Hi Rachel,
Nice to meet you. I’m a bit older but also work in special education. I’m a Para Professional in an elementary school. Also in pain. I think that’s the norm. Anyway, take care! Anita
