Pete---- I agree with you about people that are out to do harm to others but please remember what this whole incident was about in the first place----a word----You and George are taking it light years away from the original persons complaint. Censorship varies upon who's finger is on the censorship button. One person may not censor something depending upon their view of what is and is not right, while another may have a completely different set of what is right and wrong. The Title of this group is KickAS. We all know what the AS in KickAS implies. If given the other "S" in AS and the word used in a sentence some would censor it if their finger were on that button and others would not. If someone came on my site and was doing what you say may happen I would remind everyone that the site was still non censored and to just ignore them. I sometimes have to listen to jerks on talk shows, that I can't stand, who say stupid things but I still respect their right to make a fool out of themselves. -----Cody

I wasn't at all refering to what this thread is about...I was replying to your comment on your site being open and non-censored. I wish you well and hope your site becomes popular. But I'm afraid it won't last long if you allow anarchy to rule the day. Just my opinion...based on a few nasty things that have happened here at KA.

Come on Cody. I in no way insinuated that we must limit people because of what they "might" say. I asked you directly what would happen on your site regarding my pictures and what you would do if a particularly derogatory post was made regarding those pictures.

Your response skirted around the issue and I can only assume that you would do nothing other than try to convince me that you do not share this posters opinions but you would allow this ridicule to continue. In KickAS, Pete previously and Loz and his moderators now, would have removed the offending post.

You seem to have a very narrow definition of "Free Speech" which does violate many of our other personal rights and freedoms.

I just read Petes response to your suggestion that we are taking this light years away from the original persons complaint. I, like Pete, was responding to your comments that "suggested" this incident wouldn't have happened if it was on your site because it was a non-censored site.

The original post that started this thread had nothing to do with my question to you about how you would handle a derogatory post about my pictures.

So you do censor your site to some extent. Good. That at least gives your site a fighting chance against people using it's previously declared status (totally non-censored) as a freedom to post potentially extreme or at worst even peadophiliac pornography where children are present.

Everyone - and I mean everyone - draws the line somewhere. This subject is hugely complicated and there are no rights and wrongs, just differeng philosophies and differeing interpretations on those philosophies.
