UM now i am thinking.......
what happened to "we are adults and dont read it if you will be offended?"
those who would be offended with "dirty" jokes, need to not read a joke with "dirty" some where in the title......... come on........
these groups are for friends and support....arent they? friends share........ those who are easily offended, need not read "dirty" jokes.......
it would be much easier to just have the "dirty" in the thread title.......or something like "OT" for off topic in some threads........... cant it just be "DJ" for dirty jokes?????
because of a few, the rest must be "punished".......how fair is that???

Yes, Cody, one person's use of a word is another's nightmare....believe me, I know, coming from a very religious family....well, half the family....and I have always been the "black sheep" so to speak-- when I was in junior high we had a family gathering where all the grandkids had to perform something....me with my long hair and guitar....in a small town in Kentucky....tried to play something mellow for them....even telling them the name of the song...."Stairway to Heaven"....
You'd think that would have scored me some points, but NO.....everyone looked at the floor as I picked it out, since they KNEW this was....rock and roll.....Devil Music...
That's a funny story about Dizzy and Pee Wee....a "slip of the tongue" as they say...you know, the comedian George Carlin did a whole sketch on the "7 dirty words" you could not say on TV...this was I think in the Fifties or Sixties, and it made him famous, so go figure....
Yet, we all can draw the line sometimes, and it is really hard to monitor tons of people posting on a site, there are so many variables....I hope Rick is reading all these posts and decides to come back!!

Loz, I can relate-
I posted a reply one time saying all doctors need a slap in the face from time to time, as I was very up in arms over a post from someone who had a bad experience....in relating theirs to mine, I replied by slamming ALL doctors...and was reminded that I was generalizing big time. I appreciated the input, as you certainly have, we all can feel the emotional burn at times and although we know we should wait until we cool down to respond, it does not always happen, as we're human and make mistakes....
I think you are a great administrator and value your input to KickAS, it takes alot of work to make this site the best on the net!!!

Dude, I just gotta say in reply to this--
I don't think, and really hope, that no one from KickAS would spam your site...I really don't think that will happen....if I'm wrong then those people are out of line....
Every "chat" or "online" group I've been involved with, for whatever subject, has developed a core group of people who value the site and come back repeatedly to post and talk to people....heck, you should see the Lord of the Rings sites, not to mention Star Wars....
I think that as your site becomes popular, you will also experience this...you will then have your "special" people, who are those who take the time to read and post to your site....they will naturally form a bond....as will the next wave of people....and the next....
This is a good thing!!
Just remember, "priests" can be questioned, challenged, etc., and will love responding....I personally love reading posts from people who I know will not agree with me on issues of religion, politics, etc. Why? Because we share the same thing, AS, so we can find some common ground....most of the time this is the case, in my experience...I learn and hopefully I share ideas and experiences that others will accept....or not...their decision!
