Hi Ansram. A few times I lived up north of you in Goa. In a small town called Candolim, near Calangute.

Cheers,

Ah yes Tom...home of the mothership (Walmart)!
Just for the record - I'm a Costco-girl myself.

Hi Wanda...We've lived in this house for nearly a decade and I still pinch myself quite often

I think that artists have to choose one extreme or the other for inspiration. Luckily mine chose beauty and I get to come along for the ride!

Your welcome Holly

I thought it was neat. They even talk about all the marble there and it being the home of Jim Nabors too. So obviously someone did a little research before using the town. I hate when I read a book that is set in a place I have been before and obviously the author hasn't. And they don't have a clue about where they are writing about. I recently read a book where a girl was on a bus from Spokane WA to Los Angelas CA and they made a stop "along the way" in Bellingham WA. Living in Washington I know that Bellingham is wayyyyy out of "along the way" if someone was going that route. How hard would it have been for them to look at a map? lol Oh well, I just put that book aside and read another.

Take care,
Pam

Pam,

That IS great!! I am really glad that they did some research!! I hate it, too, when I read a book that the author OBVIOUSLY did not know anything about the town.

I am going Friday when I get paid to get INDELIBLE. It looks like a GREAT book. I read some stuff on the author today and I like her too!!

Thanks, again for telling me all this. I have not read a good book lately. Reading more was one of my New Years Resolutions, so thanks for the "prod", too!!

Take care!
Holly

I stay in India....

I have lived in different parts of India. My parents are north Indian , but i was born in central India. I did my college in Central Indian city of Nagpur in the state of Maharshtra and then moved to Southern India - Bangalore for my job, stayed there for 2 years. Now i have come back in my home state of maharashtra but stay in Western Maharshtra or India, in the city on Pune, near Mumbai....

I gues the only place i have not covered is Eastern India. I have travelled to Malaysia and US twice....

But i think i will finally settle in either Pune or Mumbai. Still unmarried, staying away from family whose planning to come over in the next one year.

I live 45 minutes north of the Bluewater Border crossing, in a little cottage country community called Port Franks, Ontario Canada, just 10 minute walk to Lake Huron.

Gerri

PS: Kiwi - your home town is very beautiful - When I was younger I wanted to visit New Zealand - and now I have panic attacks just thinking about planes lush:
