I go shopping just across the border once or twice a month.

JC Penny, they like when I come over.

Does your home town area have a group for AS, I would be interested in travelling across the border to visit. There is nothing in Sarnia or my home town that I am awhere of.

WOW, I think this is a record number of replies to a post.
I live out in the boonies. The closest town is a small town about 10 miles away, Red Lion, which is about 12 miles of York, which is about 30 miles from Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania. Being a country bumpkin, I don't have a town with a website. I like it that way.

Great idea - and what a wealth of information. Well, even know some of the places where you folks live and have lived in some of the countries where you folks live! Know India very well - three years in Mombai, and four years in New Delhi. 'Know' a bit of Oz, lived there for a year. Know Greece;lived there as well for a while. Know Bruxelles and Paris - lived in Bxls for seven years and Paris for two years.

Visited other places: Kelona in Canada (good friends there). And one of my favourite places to visit for the horse riding: Birmingham, Alabama, USA. My wonderful friends and the ATR (Alabama Trail riders). That has to be the all-time best - funtastic. Know other places in the US but out on the trail with the ATR just has to beat the band!

Love South Africa - God's country. Amazing countryside, just wish I had had the chance to go horse riding there, but never did that.

You might say that I have travelled some...rolling stone ya know

Anyways, here's links to my home 'community' - comprises some eitht houses, three farms and one equestrian centre. You might say 'small' Nearest loaf of bread is a 12 mile round trip. From the back of the house I can see the coastal road lights of Theddlethorpe (sea side). Along the way is open countryside, very lovely. We lead a peaceful life here: me and my cat, dog, various guinea pigs (and sometime rabbits), horse and, me! I enjoy my garden, listening to music and reading and linking up on the internet with friends and family (many abroad: Oz, Canada, the USA, Greece, Switzerland, France - not too many here in the UK!!)

Enjoy the links and have a nice day y'all, ya'll:-

Selection of photos from the hamlet where I live (hope it all comes through OK)

For the horsey folks amongst y'all, here's some places for horse riding - plus about 80 miles of bridleways...that is IF they are ridable! Too many ruined by off-roaders and dirt track riders. Makes for equine injury time and vet bills Maddening - the bridleways are pretty much ruined out now. Sigh.

Hi there H20 gal. Yes, it is very beautiful out here, and some of those photos of Muckton are literally just from outside my front gate. That great shot of the tree growing at the hedge, behind that hedge is a small paddock, used to keep my horse there. And further in the photo you can just make out a small open paddock on the left hand side, that is right opposite my front gate: and the trees and hedging on the right of the pic is my front garden! Yes, we don't tell too many people that Lincs is rather a lovely place, don't want them coming here an crowding...

Would have loved to have been a gypsy. There used to be gypsies live at the back of our house up in Yorkshire, was always out there playing with them. No, was not embassy either, but British Council, books dept. Best job I ever had. Wonderful. Went to OZ to see how I would like it there (my bro was there) but decided that I had to get back to India. Would have gone then to the US but they brought in the green card...sigh. (Was in the middle of plans at that point!) But returned to the UK, went to Greece for a while, then later got married, and lived in Europe. Just how things panned out.

Want to move again. The house is too expensive for my pension, so, I have to sell up and move - might go to Brittany, France. Know Brittany, very pleasant area and have friends there.

BTW - loved your BLOG. That Radon sounds vereeee interesting. How are you now? Still in the cure-all mode? (Could do with a cure-all after this blasted surgery )

OK. Take care gal - glad you liked the pics (and thanks for your kind comments.)

Aloha again Molly,
It all sounds so wonderful! I love India too and have traveled there a few times, but never able to find a way to live there. Seems that by playing with those gypsies as a child they must have put a few drops of blood into your veins somehow! And Brittany! Nice second choice!

Glad you enjoyed the blog. Yes, I'm still feeling fantastic. It's been nearly two months and there are days now that I actually forget I have AS! Never thought that would happen! Mom is doing well too - she was out of breath the other day when I called and it worried me. Said she was out of breath cuz she had been doing yard work and then hurried in to get the phone!!! My brother and sister-in-law finished up a couple of weeks ago. Everyone says that sis's color and fun spirit and sense of humor have returned. She has been in pain for many years (post polio) and is very happy for the result!

Hope you're feeling better soon. You live in a beautiful place - that always helps.

Aloha for now...
