If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Lori,
I will also get the insurance customer reps at Enbrel to help me.
Yes, it would go through the medical portion. Medical protion has a 500 deductable, and than it pay 90/10.
If is is like going to a doc, how did you get around not paying a co-pay like when you have an office visit. Any ideas are helpful.
Thanks
Betty

Hey Betty All I know is that a place called Infusion Solutions is the one that the doctor writs the script to, and they deliver it to my house monthly. If I take Eric into the docs for a shot, it is considered a "nurses visit" and there is no co-pay for that. Maybe because he does not actually see the doctor. Infusions Solutions used to be known as Home Health Care. It is through the visiting nurses association. One of the nurses came to our home and showed us how to give Eric the shot. Then she sat on the floor for a while with him and played video games to make sure that he was not going to have a reaction. Hope this helps..... Lori

HI Sassy, It's funny that you mentioned that. I have not paid for a co-payment starting my shots of Enbrel. I go to the pharmacy, and its printed on the receipe "0.00 payment". I didn't know who was paying for it. And I was afraid to ask why?.....Anyway just thought I put my 2 cent worth of info. Dan Kiss My Little AS pain

Hi Dan,
What a cute icon you have as signature!
It's wonderful that you don't have to pay co-payment for Enbrel. For our insurance policy, we have to pay $15 for a month's supply (8).
I wonder if people here inject Enbrel on their own... I guess I "spoil" my husband, as I am the one who performs the injection for him. Now I work late (busy season), but he rather waits till 11pm for the shot.
Nice to meet you, Mandy

I will check further, Sassy. ...and the medication was free? or was it counted against the deducable?
What insurance company? Mine might be a "hard nut to crack" because my company is self insured. They pay in premiums to a "broker of sorts" and the benefits are than paid through a thrid party administrator.
Anybody else have more info?
Betty

Hi Betty When we started on the Enbrel, the company that I work for was self insured also. It was not easy work, but it was done..... No deductable, dont go to the pharmacy to get it......it is delivered to my home....I have never paid a penny for Erics Enbrel.

Hi Mandy. Thanks.......I have been injecting the Enbrel. I had started with Kineret shots but they had a wonderful presentation "Simpleinject" tool. I just dropped the syringe in the gun and shot it in. I didn't have to remove the needle cover. When I started with Enbrel, I had to prepare the fluid in the vial and pull the cover and inject it. It was hard at first. I would delay the injection for a couple of mins before I built the courage to jab me in the thighs. But now its pretty easy. Though somethings I must hit a blood vessel cause it bleeds more than other times...... Wish I had someone who would inject them in me. Nice to meet you too Dan Kiss My Little AS pain

Hi Dan,
Yeah, same here! Even I am not the one receiving the shot, I also have to delay the injection for a while before I have the courage to jab the needle into my husband's stomach or thighs.
From time to time I hit a blood vessel. I remember the very first time I hit the vessel (probably a big one), and the bleeding didn't stop for the first two minutes. X(
Have a nice day, Mandy

Hi Cindy,
Just wondering if you are still on Enbrel, or you have to switch to another medication? Have your doc said anything about that?
Later, Mandy.
