Dont worry ...your friendship is what matters ..not your typing.

I wish I could give you a good answer. Shoot, I wish I could just send you a cure. It's really tough being a mom sometimes. (but we wouldn't trade our kids for anything!)

For me, my symptoms started when I was young. But all I can remember is low back pain. I hope her doctor is able to help her. My prayers are winging your way that this is something simple. I'm sending a few hugs along as well.

Hugs,

Cindy

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Your hugs are always so helpful.
Thank you Cindy.
She is my sweetie pie and it hurts to see her get like this. I can handle my pain but seeing her breaks my heart in so many places.

She hasnt complained of back pain at all. I started with the knees and my nephew has knee pain and swelling. His pediatrician said it was arthritis but did not elaborate on what type. I hope this is not the case. My grandmother has RA and my mom almost positive AS. So it's a double whammy. Hoping my little bug can sqeeze in between the cracks.

hugs back to you]]]]]

Hi Angie,

I'm so sorry to hear about Gianna. It is so hard on parents to see their little ones in pain. Glad to hear that she had a better day playing with no discomfort. I know that she is a VERY special little girl just full of love. I'll be thinking about y'all on Monday. Let us know how she is doing.

Big Hug &

for both of you special ladies!!

Take care,
Liz

Dear Angie:

I really feel terrible about the potential for your Gianna to go through this, and I hope for you both that there is a different answer.

One thing not yet mentioned is 'crepitus.' I had noisy joints even as a young child. I remember raising my hand too fast in school sometimes and creating a loud pop from my elbow. Around age 11-12 I had terrible leg pains that were put off as 'growing pain,' although my mother was an RN and had some of her medical friends come give me a thorough going-over (it was a primitive time in medicine...).

Anyway, you both will be in my thoughts and prayers,
John

“How could you make me eat soap?”
‘What? Don’t you like it?’
“It’s disgusting. Have you ever eaten soap?”
I asked, my mouth spuming foam.
‘Oh yes,’ murmured the Master dreamily,
‘I’ve eaten soap many many times.’
. . .
Five minutes slipped by as I drifted in and out of
consciousness. The Master probed beneath my
tongue with the glass thermometer, like a stoker
attending the firehole.
‘Bingo! You’re almost up to a hundred and four.
Well done! This is impressive.’
. . .
“Feroze,” said Rublu, “I hope you haven’t been
mistreating your pupils again. You should know
better.”
The Master raised one finger in the air, preparing
to defend the accusation. ‘Well,’ he said stolidly,
‘perhaps I did prescribe a little more soap than I
should have. But then how are we to breach the
boundaries of science if we do not test them?’

Hi Buggy

It was sad to see your post about Gianna. You and her are in my thoughts and prayers. There is nothing worse than your child being ill. Hopefully it will all turn out to be nothing, but I would be concerned also.

Lots of healing hugs

Hi Liz...
Just got back from pediatricians office. Of course there is no swelling today!! But luckily the doctor thinks its growing pains and not arthritis. He said there is no swelling or range of motion problems. Of course I had swelling as a child that would come and go from day to day so I'm not sure about that. Good thing was there was no range of motion problems right now. That gives me comfort.

Bad part?? She had to get the 1st of her Hepatitis A shots...she was NOT a happy camper. Little Sofia and I had to hold her hand. All is well as they eat breakfast as Gianna replays her shot incident to her sister.

Hi Buggy,

I am so sorry to hear about Gianna. It's so hard for us Moms to see our kids go through pain. I know I just want to fix it but that isn't always posible. I hope the Dr.,s right and you won't have to worry any more. My youngest son has been having pains in his ankles and back of his legs for about a year now. In the past I to have chalked it up to growing pains. I am now having a hard time doing that since finding out that we have AS in the family. I don't have a dx yet but my brother was just dx'ed. So now I am a bit worried.
Glad to hear little Gianna is feeling better.
Lots of prayers she stays that way,
Wendy
