Hi
I wonder if anyone had experienced problems with Augmentin antibiotics such as double vision? I know with my condition it is expected that you may experience eye problems, but I have not had any problems since four years ago, but when I went to my doctor when I was suffering from a bad ear infection he prescribed Augmentin antibiotics for me to take three times a day for several days, no sooner was I on them within 24 hours I started to have double vision and out of focus in my right eye only..so I am starting to panic thinking I might be getting another bad flair up like I did years ago, it was after a few days waiting to see if it would clear and it didn't get any worse so I started to realize that there might be a link with the antibiotic such as a side affect, I finished taking the antibiotics yesterday morning and waiting for the drugs to leave my system to see if it was the antibiotic that was causing the double vision before making another costly visit to my doctor again.

Put in a google search for the side effects to this drug. Could well be a side effect - anti-hypertensive drugs do this to me as also do glaucoma eye drops. Dble vision is a common side effect to many medications. Don't drive when like that, as any accident and insurers go hoppin ...??

IF 'tis a side effect, report to yr GP and also report to the pharma Co - and also to FDA. FDA have a website for such.
