I've been taking Enbrel in a clinical trial (a real lab rat) for the past 18 months and it has been nothing less than amazing. If you look back through the pharmacy forum to February 2001, you'll find my story with all the gory details under the Enbrel thread. Betty and I started about the same time. We have had concerns from time to time, but nothing that would make us give it up.

It's been nothing less than a miracle. I'm still disabled, but I'm no longer bedfast. I still can't put on my shoes and socks or hook my bra, but I can get in and out of bed on my own most of the time, take a shower all by myself, and even do a bit of very light housework. I seldom use the wheelchair inside the house, although I often have to sit down and rest. I'm still in a lot of pain, and take high powered pain meds, but before life was a living hell. Enbrel gave me a second chance at life. I only wish I could have had it BEFORE all the damage was done.

I wish you the very best, and that any side effects are from something else and go away real soon.

Hugs,

Cindy

I am only one; but still I am one.
I cannot do everything.
But still I can do something;
I will not refuse to do the something I can do.
