Okay, I've been away from the computer for the weekend, and came back to this.

9 years ago, a little 4 year old boy went missing, it was around 4:30 on a cool October afternoon, he was only dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt and had wandered off into the woods following his grandfather (his grandfather didn't know that he was following him). About 15 minutes later, the grandmother noticed the grandson missing and told the boy's father (who was working on his truck in the garage). A frantic search of the house, yard and pool, came up empty. A 911 call was made and police, K-9, sheriff, fire, and air support were called in. As the night set in and the weather was getting colder, the panic was setting in more and more. Thankfully, this story had a happy ending, one of the neighbors, out on horseback, found the little boy, and he was returned safely to his parents.

That little boy, was my son, Travis. As a parent that has experienced a missing child, I like to commend Holly for posting this here. Yes, we're an AS support site, key word in this part being support. At the time, I would have welcomed support from wherever it came, even if it were only my friends from my internet sites. That was one of only two times in my life where I was so scared and so upset that I couldn't even talk. I don't know how I even got the words out to the 911 operator.
