There were lots of conflicting information flying in the media today about Natalee.
There were reports that Natalee's body was found today and that her father was taken to the site to identify his daughter's remains before the press was notified so that he, and the family, could have some time with Natalee before the media was involved.
On our local (Birmingham AL) news, the family stated that no such event happened but Natalee's father, now divorced from her mother, expressed that Natalee's mom is not doing well. Natalee's brother and step-brother remained in the lobby of their of the hotel to ensure that the privacy of their respective parents were intact. Today speaks volumes about this family..however the family is compromised.
Whatever your personal beliefs or location in the world, please support this family in your thoughts, prayers, fairy dust.... light a candle, say a Hail Mary, do the rain dance...whatever....
Natalee could have been from ANY child visiting ANY country in the world outside her own country. If she had been a child from Aruba visiting New York City or Washington DC to celebrate her graduation, I would hope that US citizens would be on the lookout for her and do everything within their power to find and protect this child, and in the event that it was discovered that there was foul play, that justice would prevail for the ones responsible.
Please keep Natalee and her family close to your heart!!

PS A little minor disclaimer from me...
I originally posted Natalee's story in the #1 because KICKAS.org IS an international site and she was missing from a country that welcomed visitors from countries all over the world. With all the support that I have received from this site, I felt that most members of KA would understand that I posted this story in the main forum BECAUSE of KA's internationality.. there might be someone from our site on holiday or vacation in Aruba that might be able to offer the family some assistance in Natalee's safe return. I hope you all understand---Holly
