My brother and his lady friend are coming from England in September and we are going to spend 2 nights in New York City. I would love input from any folks around there - what is a good neighbourhood to stay in ( in a hotel )?. I tried to book around central park but the only decent looking, almost affordable hotel becomes pretty unaffordable when $30 per night parking etc.. etc.. is added in. So, I figure there are a lot of motels/hotels in new Jersey but I don't want to get caught in any yucky areas. Can any of you give me good ideas? Nice areas with fast and easy access to downtown ?
