Hi Ali,
I can't help but wonder, if the information is hidden how is it that you know for 'fact' there are "many" offending docs? I agree we do need an entirely separate body for reporting complaints.
A board of directors is comprised of people; individuals under stress of funding pressures (no doubt about it) but I imagine not akin to *for-profit* operations. Subject to due diligence, they'd personally face huge fines and jail time if they failed to exercise good judgement in such critical matters. I'm not saying denial never happens, just that most human beings actually have a conscience. (I realise I am likely and perhaps naively alone in this belief.)
I'm not so sure our next provincial gov will change things again, although I agree that's usually the case. They sure wouldn't win any friends if they did.
I was only posting to counter your broad brush statements that I feel are a grossly inaccurate portrayal of the (big picture) truth, besides which Kat had already addressed that point well enough, imo. But since you ask...
Of course Ali, please feel free to post as you wish. It disturbs me that you feel you didn't receive the very best care possible all along

and I can only imagine how angry and upset I might feel in the same situation. I am sorry you are suffering so much. I dearly wish that you will find an answer soon that offers you hope along with some desperately needed relief.
My best to you,
mig
