Dear Lon,

I am very sorry to hear of your mother's health problems and to learn that she is in such a dire condition.

I hate the circumstances that led you to write this post Lon, but those circumstances cannot hide nor lessen the beauty of what you have written here about your mother. All of us here at KA know without a doubt that you absolutely ARE like your mother, Lon, as you show love for your fellow KA members with every word you write on these pages. Not only that, but the beautiful tribute you have written to your mother in this post are another expression of your love and show very clearly just how much you already follow your mother's beautiful lead. I'm sure that even with her health failing, your mother can see that love in you and know that she passed on to you the most precious gift in the world, which is the ability to love others and be loved by them. Your words here were so eloquent that I felt as if I was there by your side as you prayed and said goodbye, and, more than that, I feel as if I understand exactly the kind of woman your mother is and what she means to you. It is clear that she is a very special woman who brightens the lives of every person she comes in contact with every day, a rare ability that will never change no matter how sick she is. I know with certainty that she has brightened my life today, meaning I am now one of the hundreds, if not thousands, of people who will remember your mother and her lessons of love even after she has passed--all because you chose to share with us your feelings about your beloved mother. Thank you for that, Lon, and thank you for reminding all of us how powerful love is, and how it is one of the most important things in our lives.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mother in this difficult time Lon.

Brad
