I have always found that marijuana doesn't actually kill the pain, but it makes it easier to cope with, if that makes sense. I will now only use it if I get really stressed because of pain, which rarely happens anymore as my pain treshhold is pretty darn high after all these years.

It helps you to somehow see the pain as something that's seperate from your brain. I used to sit there just focussing on the pain, thinking about exactly where it was, what it felt like and very thoughtfully trying different positions and assess what effect it had on the pain, etc. It seems to take most of the emotion out of the pain.

Personally it doesn't make me sleep better. It makes me feel sleepy, but I wake up more often after I've fallen asleep.
