hi all,
well..in spite of me thinking i'm too skinny to go l/n starch, i devoured carol sinclair's IBS book last night and i'm feeling VERY motivated!! i realized that my entire life i've relied on bread/grain as a 'nutritional' filler to the detriment of my general health.

in chapter 9, she starts with the 'section 1' food group to eliminate first, i.e. grains, cereals and roots. potatoes and rice are part of the 'section 2' food group to eliminate. my question: has anyone had a good response by simply eliminating the grains/cereals/roots. do any of y'all do potoates?...or any kind of rice?

my goal for feb is to eliminate grains/cereals/roots.

i also just started sulfasalazine today and i'm finally tapering off the oral steroids (due to another severe uveitis flare). the ssz is my first non-nsaid medication for as. i suppose the reality of taking pills is making me think about a diet change.

for skinny minnies...how do you keep your weight up on l/n starch?

thank you as always!
