you might want to try the skalaxen a little before going to the dentist, i do my zanaflex 30 minutes prior and by the time they get started, i'm almost 1/2 a sleep while they are working.

i take it for all kinds of procedures: ultrasounds (when they press the probe up against my ribs i just want to smack somebody if i don't take a muscle relaxant first), MRIs, etc. have to time it just right as i can't drive for about an hour, 1-2 hours after i take it.

my impression is that skalaxen and zanaflex are pretty similar from what i've read. normally i just take it at bedtime and then as needed.
