This reminds me of recent "House MD" episode, where for some reason or another Dr. House needed a new cane (I rememember now, his roomate's poodle chewed through it ,lol
)
House goes to an antique store looking through an assortment of very expensive, handcrafted wood canes (and I think also one made from an elephant's (bleep) but nothing appeals to him.
Then in the next scene he arrives in the hospital, having made his final choice:
