I was wondering if you had swelling anyplace besides your spine. Do you get pain in your knees or elbows or anywhere else? Are you able to avoid pain medication or do you have to avoid that still? What do they recommend for pain besides steroids, if you happen to feel terrible?

I made an appointment with the doctor that is near me in Texas, he was trained by your doctor. I can't get in until next week and I read only your doctor has the bacteria(for AS) , not the other doctors on the list. He will have to order the bacteria himself from a pharmacy, if he is willing. It is very interesting, especially since I just finished reading a book about this sort of thing. From the test results I can't see this hurting me, it can only help.

Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year.
