That did it for my tinnitus, the sulfasalazine. Once I stopped that, the ear ringing stopped.
I did hear once (10 years ago) that there's audio relief from tinnitus where you combine with an audiologist and you listen for the exact pitch of the tinnitus. Once that's found, a CD is made with, I can't remember, 1/2 hour of that tone. As you listen to it, the tinnitus in your ear and the CD sound cancel themselves out and you're good to go for a few hours. People do this just before bed so they can sleep.
