don't have experience with this drug (yet) and so don't know how or why it causes tinnitus, but i did have pulsating tinnitus (could hear /feel my heart beat in my ears, was a very weird sensation) when i was on vioxx. turns out it was due to edema; vioxx causing edema and the edema causing pulsating tinnitus. when i went off the vioxx, the edema went away, and when the edema went away, the pulsating tinnitus went away as well.
