The Saber Tooth tiger was just an example. If one was not able to cope with physical conditions and preditors because of disabilities he was soon left behind and the wild anamils would single that individule out for conpsumtion.
When AS reared it's ugly head in an individule and he was no longer able to escape or find food. He soon parished. Is what I was trying to say. Again my Bad.
In Norther Climates were the diet consisted mainly of Meat and berries AS may not have been aparent in the population.
