I have Restless Leg Syndrome and was prescribed 10-20mg Amitryptilene. Stretching and taking a walk before bed also help.

If this is RLS, and it might be, you'll get better sleep if you treat it. You should request a sleep study, as this is the best way to find out what's going on. The RLS was bringing me to consciousness while I slept, so I wasn't reaching recuperative sleep, which is the deepest level of sleep, when your body heals.
