Hi Kelly, Sorry to hear about your pain.
I flare when I take probiotics. In addition I read magnesium lowers cortisol in the body. Cortisol helps fight inflammation and I feel worse when I take magnesium supplements, I just thought I would tell you my experience.
One thing that helped me in addition to the NSD was juicing fruits and vegetables and drinking fresh juice two times a day. I think the fresh carrot apple kale juice is packed with vitamins that heal the joints/gut, because it is easy to digest and the body does not have to work hard at digesting it. The body gets a lot of nutrients in a small glass of juice. When I avoid starches, dairy, sugar I feel much better, and my labs are all normal except one and it is coming down each time I go to the dr.

Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year.
