The past, oh, 36 hours have been heck with my AS! A low pressure front has been SLOWLY eeking its way in and it finally started raining.
This winter I didn't really put the pain and barometric pressure together, but since we've had some pretty weather, OH BOY does the weather changes HURT me!

How do you all deal with this?
My Viox is not up to this challenge and I end up maxing out the Ultracets to no avail!
(I've started on a bottle of wine!)

Hi, Darla:

You could fly down to Vegas for the weekend; it's warm there.

Hope you are feeling better soon,
John

Even though I had made the connection with low pressure/pain earlier, I feel too that this is worse now. Mostly because the hot and nice weather now is making me better, so I almost forget about my ususal pain...but when the rain sets in, well, then I remember...

Yup! I have what I call a "bum barometer" too! I can predict rain before the Weather Channel has even got a clue it's coming!

There's not much you can do to get away from the damp unless you have a woodtight stove you can stick a log into....

It has been raining here for the past week on and off..... and everything is sore.... But.... It's got to stop soon right!

Keep warm, keep dry.... and pray for better weather!

Same goes with me!
I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to the "Dog Days" of August... hot and dry!

I first posted this Wednesday evening. Finally got to feeling better Thursday evening and woke up Friday feeling that maybe I was over the worst of it. About noon Friday, it hits me again!
I get this terrible neck pain and my hips/lower back feel very achy, especially while taking a step. And I'm running around the hospital all day! Truly none of my meds touch this kind of ache and pain.
Sure enough, Friday evening about 7pm it starts raining.
Thanks for the reply and sympathy!

Oddly,or perhaps not, barometric changes have little afect on my AS. THey do however result in a change in my attitude. I hate dreary gray weather cycles like we ahve had sine October.

Physically I am fine but psychologically day after day of gray dreary weather is fatiguing. I have, in case the weather does not improve, spotted a bell tower of choice and am ready for retributrion.

Probably not funny but I am curious, why do they always select a bell tower???

WHy not a nice residential two family house with an attic that no-one ever used.

Anyway as for the rain,I hope it goes away for you in a hurry. Jamie does a little dance since she was born its two steps left and three circle steps right. Its rained like a [####] since then. Maybe if you invert the steps it will reduce the amount of precipitation. Its a thought. Feeble , yet nonetheless, it is a thought.

I dunno why they always pick a bell tower! You would think all them steps would be a little off putting!

Maybe it's got something to do with the bells?

And why anyone with AS would climb all those steps up to the bell tower is beyond me!! You'd be too darned tired once you got to the top to do anything but rest!
