This is so hard to hear, and I'm sure it was difficult for you to write it. In a small memorial to her, I'm going to try to be just as warm and smilling as she was. To help keep alive the gift she gave us all.
God Bless and Keep you Linda

I became numb when I was told the news Linda has been a good friend and one that has helped me over the recent years with her healing prayers for my loved ones..... all of who benefited from her healing powers.

I realize that she has now gone to a place that is better and one where she will be without pain but we all know that her passing will leave a hole that will not be easily filled.

With that being said, I'd like to share a poem written by my Mother for a friend. Her friend had lost a dear friend and the poem I feel fits well in this circumstance here at KA.....

"Like sparkling crystals their laughter rings
Touched by their presence our heart sings
Filling sunny hours with companionship
Reaching beyond ourselves - true friendship
Time means nothing when all is well
Good friends in the circle we dwell

Caring, sharing and bearing
Friend's pains, gains and joy
Shaping our lives in diverse ways
Moulding and forming our days
Our lives - 'till only death ends
Leaving hearts broken - in the circle of friends

M.W. May 2001"

Linda, I'll miss you dearly but am glad you are now free of the pain that you have endured in this life....'till we meet again in the next life or in heaven, rest easy in God's hands.

Oh boy.

It's nearly two full days since I first read the news, and I still dont know what to say. Cheryl, thank you for making such a difficult post.

Dear dear Linda - There's no doubt that this journey was a difficult one for you. I like many others here find some solace in the fact that you've found peace, love, rest and comfort in the destination. It's said that memories make us immortal. The good will, support and giving you've shared here will transcend generations to come.

Until we met again, you Blonde, Polish, Sweetheart of KickAS - much love and many heartfelt thanks for sharing your time with us.

Love,
Jeanna

Thank you for letting us know about Linda. It is a hard pill to swallow when we lose one of our friends. I will remember her life and all of her inspiration, and not dwell on her passing. Linda, you are finally able to have a peaceful and pain free rest. God Bless You.

Chris

I wish I'd known Linda better.

We know Linda was praying for a miracle. We all prayed with her. And now she will be forever painfree. Perhaps He was quick to answer one so loved by so many. My deepest sympathies to Linda's family, and please know my heart goes out to all of her dear friends here too. May her Heaven be full of kittens.

Love,

mig

Since I first read this thread I have read and re-read Linda's last PM to me.

As Cat People (she would understand the caps use) we PM'd here and there, but when she got sick I found out there was something else quite wonderful that we shared, which was an honour to know and contribute to.

Asides this, I was in awe of her acceptance and so happy that she was truly at peace in herself - something that is a great comfort now in knowing.

Mig made a great comment in saying she hoped Linda's heaven was full of kittens and in acknowledgement of that (and also hoping there'll be a few oldies, newbies, unhomeables and hissy spitties there too) as well as the Hospice I also plan to donate to an Erie animal shelter, the more cat-orientated the better.

Bless you Linda, rest in true peace,

Jan

I am speechless. I didn't realize that she was that sick, that fast I mean. I will say a prayer for her and the family. She was a great lady.

I just got back from vacation and am absolutely shocked and saddened. Linda was an incredible support to me when my nephew was ill. She sent many prayers his way and had all her "sisters" praying for him. I felt I could do the same for her when she became ill and truly believed my prayers would be answered. I just don't understand things like this and I guess that these are the sad mysteries of life that we won't understand until it is our time. We all loved you so much Linda. You were definitely a ray of sunshine here at kickas. You have left your heartprint on many a soul here.

With love, sadness and respect.

Simone
