Contact the HealthWell Foundation online and fill our an application. They are wonderful people and so easy to work for. They paid all of my co-pay for the Remicade and then insisted that since I still had so much left in my grant that they are picking up the co-pay for the Humira (which now I am not going to get to take). Check them out. It is a wonderful program. They paid the dr. direct with the Remicade and now they pay my drug company diret so I never get a bill period.

Hope this works for you.
Blessings.

Hello and good luck to you and your remicade treatment. I have both crohns and AS, diagnosed with crohns 8 months ago, and AS 3 years ago. I have been on the remicade for 8 months and it has helped me tremendously. I have only had one bout of strep throat, and other than that side effects are minimal. The worst of it is for about 2 days following the infusion, I get semi flu like symptoms, headaches and body aches, and extreme fatigue, but within a few days I'm back to nomal. I do try to stay physically fit as much as possible and I believe this has helped me in avoiding infections while being on the Remicade. Due to my AS I am currently taking the Remicade every 6 weeks as apposed to 8 weeks, and am feeling 80% better than when I was first diagnosed. Best of luck to you , and be sure to get the TB test before starting treatment.
