History: on Enbrel 2 years, than off of it for 2 months with pain after being off of it for one month
Current: Back on Enbrel for one week (double dose in one injection..once a week)
Worked within 24 hours and have not had any more problems. Due for my second injection today .....feeling just like the good 'ol times. No pain or stiffness.

I told you so! I wasn't off Enbrel very long, but I sure missed it. But when I started it again, it just kicked right back in and did its thing. And who said Enbrel isn't addictive?

I'm so glad you're back to being YOU!

Hugs,

Cindy

Hi Betty,
Great to hear your back on Enbrel. I had to get off for one month. I had bronditis for two week. I notice I was getting stiff and pains around the neck and back and ankles and elbows.....but yesterday I had my second shot. Since in pain and stiffness but I hope by a couple of more shots I be back to normal(better)......I don't think I want to do the double shots a week yet. Good Luck...

Dan

Hi Betty,
Glad to hear you got back on Enbrel and the results are so good so soon. You have a longer history with Enbrel than most other users on this site because of your participation in the study, so everyone is eager to hear more about it. For those of us who are not taking Enbrel, any details you could provide about what specific areas it helped would be appreciated. How much improvement? Do you feel normal again? Any complications, side effects, problems with insurance and the like?

You may have already posted this sort of info, but I didn't see in in your history of posts.

Keep on KickinAS,
Rowr

Thanks

I have been on Enbrel a total of 25 months. Cindy has been on it approx. the same amount of time.
I have not had to worry about insurance because I am on a medication study.
It is unlikely that my particular insurance company would pay.

Yes, I feel normal agan. I do not have any limitations while on the Enbrel. No problems and no side effects.

I went off of the Enbrel for 6 weeks. By week four, I was in a lot of pain. When I started back, the pain went away within 24 hours. I do not take any other medications related to AS.

Just recently, I went back on the LSD because it is my thoughts that damage could still be occuring even though I am not aware of it. What brought me to this conclusion was the 2 weeks that I was in pain prior to getting back on Enbrel.

At this point, I feel the study is just checking out safety. A small group has been on the med two years. I bet they are checking to see if anyone will develop problems.
