Hi Pete,
I can totally understand where you're coming from. As I posted a short while ago... my son is leaving for Baghdad this coming month and as it gets nearer I find that knot you were talking about getting tighter and tighter. He wants so badly to be around for his son's birth and has been trying to get into a different team that leaves in August instead, but it isn't looking like it's going to happen.
Like your SIL, my son will be doing the base security thing also. I am sure no matter what type of job...all family members still have the same worry, considering the situation over there.
I pray many times a day for the safe return of all our soldiers, but I'll be adding your SIL to my extra prayer list with my son.

Hope that beating you took from your grandson doesn't leave you too sore. Something about those boys named Alex...seem to have extra spunk to them. I spent the day with my grandson Alex yesterday and we had a little wrestling match of our own. Even though it was done on the couch, I still had to be saved, especially after he caught me the chin.
Like you, I still enjoyed every moment of it. They keep us young...mind, heart and body.
Sounds like you may need a physically and emotionally restful weekend.
Hugs,
Lisa

Pete,
Had to tell you I got a belly laugh when I saw that picture. He is so cute in that devilish way. There is lots of personality in that boy. Have fun with him.

Who knows more about over-doing than our Brother Lon! I've watched you treat your pain by attacking a dead tree with an axe and when you finished you actually felt better?!? Strange but true.

Today I'm not sore...I just feel like I just celebrated my 100th Birthday.

Pete

Hi Joan...I sure do have fun with him. The attached picture was taken last year when his dad and I took him to see the Yuma Territorial Prison in Yuma AZ. He loved it! When I took the picture I told him to give me the same look that he gives his mom when she sends him to bed. I think he cought the expression of a defiant prisoner, don't you?

Thanks for the support, Lisa. Bahrain is a resort compared to Baghdad...I pray your son returns safely.

Craig has 6 children...all girls except little Lukas. He tried to keep a stiff upper lip when he said his goodbyes but lost it when Lukas gave him a hug and said "daddy go?". I lost it as well. That scene has been played out far too many times throughout history. I sure wish it would all stop.

Tonimarie and Alexander? If she needs someone like him to keep her in line we better make sure they never meet...together they could whip both of us AND Bruno.

About those hips...if you include installation, you've got a deal...provided you aren't the installer:)

I have an old 'bull's eye' putter I have used as a cane...worked well but not for putting so I baught an extendable walking stick and keep it in my bag at all times. I would never have made it without it.

Hey Pete!

There you are. I just posted in the party forum to you under the Las Vegas thread.

I am sorry I missed you while you were down here. I am so glad you were able to spend some special time with Craig, Jen and the kids, before he left. Know that I will be praying for him while he is gone and for Jen too, with all the kids and the other million things she does! She is Wonderwoman, I swear!

I imagine you are home taking care of that pain so you can relax and get some sleep tonight. I do hope the pains go away soon! This weather we have been having is just making me miserable! And it is colder at your place right now. YIKES!! I think I might fight you for one of Steve's old hips that he is willing to part with.. I sure need the sleep!

Let me know when you will be coming down again to Jen's. I need to stop going 200 miles an hour and take time to have some of that white chocolate coffee with you!!!
Looking forward to what now seems to be our annual Las Vegas trip!

Love to you,
Cristina

Hey,

We just knew you'd want a re-match sooner or later, so we've been getting some practice in...

Oh, and Pete, next time you're forced to walk the course, you just have to try one of these crazy pull-carts..... just look at the wheels on these things!

My parents would be horribly disappointed if we didn't let everyone see the clubhouse too. I bet they’d also want people to know that we usually have leaves on the trees, just not when you’re getting in the last round of the season.
