If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Has anyone won the battle for getting a hot tub covered through a USA insurance company. If you did, how did you do it? Our insurance states that it is not a medical necessity more than a luxury and that they don't cover these kinds of things. Our reumy has prescribed one once. No luck. Trying to get the new reumy to script one too. How come old people get wheel chairs and such?

I'd like to know as well? I have heard of such ,as well. I have heard of some getting those fancy-smancy at home spas, with all the diff, seating and jets. Seen info commercials on it. They claim water & heat therapy are the best. The argument for getting one is: that it is cheaper than pys. therapy and memberships to club with tubs. And the manuf. gives a discount to the ins. I have just never knew anyone personally? Hope someone comes up with info one this one! Howling the PAIN away !!!
God is in my heart, who's in yours?

No clue how you do it in the states, but in the czech republic, with AS you can go to spas for 28 days a year. the treatments are different depending on which one you choose. i was in slovakia last summer and the treatments were based on hot mineral water. veeeeeeeeery nice, i can tell. except it was over 30C outside :) in winter like this it must be even better. and the spas were also full of germans - with the exchange rate, it must be really cheap for them i bet. so if you save up for a nice vacation, make it a spa somewhere around here - they have a great tradition, you ll love it. Karen, I was told by my Dr. he could write a prescription and that would allow me to take it off taxes as a medical expense, but that was the best I could hope for. I just shopped till I found a used one cheap. It is an older model, but I have had little trouble out of it. I would not be without mine, It has helped immensly. Good Luck J.R.

How come "old people" get wheelchairs and such??? WOW. Let's see... wheelchair vs. HOT TUB... Without getting into a huge debate about out crappy Medicare coverage and how "old people" have to pay for many of their medical expenses out of pocket,,,, and how most of them WON"T call 911 when they need to because they'll get stuck with a $600.00 abulance fee.... I think that statement was offensive, and the argument that insurance will pay for wheelchairs but not hot tubs is absolutely absurd. I don't respond like this to anybody, but this really peeved me. Stacie PS Here's an idea... GET A JOB!

Sounds great, sure wish you good luck, have not heard of an insurance here in the states approving a HOT TUB.
Go for it and good luck, Mike

Sorry! I really didn't mean anything by that comment. My grandad got a scooter from Medicare so he could get around--just hoping that we could get a tub before we would need a wheelchair. I am not familiar with Medicare except for what grandad and grandmother have had to deal with. I apoligize, I apoligize, I apoligize, I apoligize, I apoligize, I apoligize.

Well.. here in Canada, I was told by my physio from the Arthritis Assoc., that she could get me a one person hot tub... paid for and installed. Long story why I didn't... but it was possible. May the roof above us never fall in, and the many friends gathered below it never fall out.
