Thanks everyone for cheering up my AS husband with your comments in a recent post about the nice things of having AS. He has been down--very down---lately and today after reading your posts he has had a better day than he has had in a month. Thanks! You really are a great support.

so pleased your husband got some enjoyment out of the posts, so did I!
Its a real bummer having AS but at least we know what we have, and in our own different ways we all learn to live with it.
I wake up every morning and after I have managed to get down stairs, which is an effort in itself I have a full length mirror, I struggle through my exercises in front of it, that in itself is cause for a real good laugh.
I think to myself,
'thats the best you are going to look today Janet, so get on with it'
and I do!

we could always point and laugh at able bodied people, that would make a change eh?

if we all started pointing and laughing at the able bodied humans I think they would get a complex and start trying to find what we are laughing at...they will be looking in mirrors looking at there clothes it would be fun just to watch.....oak

see, I knew that would get some people thinking of ways of making things even.
Also I have noticed that people with AS are good looking, so we can always laugh at people who are not. Why not laugh at everyone?

I don't have to do the stair thing in the morning But I did think of getting a Full Length Mirror, it's just I can't find one that I can stand on so that I could see myself.

crikey, the thought of standing on a mirror and imagining what would be looking up at me is something out of the hammer house of horror.

I'd love to live on one level but the stairs are my daily challenge, they are a pain in the bum to get up at night, but even if I do it on all fours (the stairs that is) I manage it.

Karen, I'm so glad hubby got some good out of his post. This place is so great for that. There is a lovely irreverence in perspective when it comes to laughing at ourselves and AS. A few here are total experts at it and we've all learned from them.

John and Janet, you two with your mirrors almost made me spew coffee at my monitor!!! There were just so many comebacks and the images were priceless!

Many hugs,

Kat
