LadyBug... oh, my....oh, my.... Vicodin with Diazepam, yes, well nighty - night !!!!
Maybe if you get some good sleep in the right position, it will help, but it sounds like you still better go see your "real/regular" Doctor !!!!

hi david,
i get to see the family doc on wednesday. no spasms but ver sore to the touch and very stiff in the thoracic. i hope that never ever happens again. quite frightening actually.

i can understand the spasms, it was just the doc's arrogance that made me want to whack him ever so gently upside the head.

hi joyce.
this doc was something else. the other i had was so kind and was well aware of what as can do to someone. this one was so smug, that was what really upset me. art was sitting with me as i told the doc as he tried to counter every word i said. art said some docs just dont like it when you know more about a condition than they do. he was so cold. but when he came back after xrays he was much kinder. either he spoke to my family doc OR he realized i was not a happy camper with him either.

hi janet!
actually it was zoloft they gave me at the time. i took the 15 days worth and that was it. i havent seen my family doc since b/c i had been doing not too bad during holidays. i see my family doc on wed so i'm going to mention that. the pain was unbelievable. i felt if i stood still in that spot right by my sons crib all night, i would be just fine. as long as i didnt move, or think about moving.

take care..

thanks kat...
arrogant is right. grrr. made me so angry. he hadnt even examined me just pointed out and said he was sure that was it. he was ready to write the scripts and ship me out. i was stunned. then he was so uncomfortable with what my family doc said. yet my family doc thought a cervical collar would have been best to keep me safe and comfortable and xrays and mri. after he gave me the two shots i got a headache and then followed by throwing up everytime i sat up. i think it was from my neck causing the pain down my thoracic and rib area. no fun.

i get to see my doc on wed. i hope its him or PA, so i can explain what happened. my doc works out of there and my other hospital, so hopefully he'll hear what happened down there. i wasnt expecting surgery the way he implied. i just wanted some answers to my nightmarish pain. i'm sure if HE had the pain i had that morning, he'd be in momma's arms sobbing RIGHT now. sorry, but had to let that one out.

Angie,

Really sorry to hear about the accident, and the lame-brain doctor at the ER. I've already decided if I ever have any kind of accident that requires ER treatment, and I'm conscious, I'm going to just tell the, what I'm sure will be ignorant doctors, that I have the same thing the kid had on the TV "ER", the one who got his neck broken by the doctor and died. They'll probably remember that better than the paragraph they read about AS back in med school.

Anyway, take care of yourself, and I hope you are feeling better soon!

Johnny

Hi Angie,

I hope you're feeling better. I just wanted to say that I admire you so much. I was tellng my family about you last evening -- how much you go through with AS and yet, somehow, whether you know it or not, you always exude a contagious, positive attitude about life. Just wish things weren't so tough for you -- I don't know how you do it with three young ones! My undiagnosed (at the time) AS symptoms weren't too bad while mine were little.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Paula

Why apologize, Ange. You're probably right, he would be sobbing in his momma's arms.

hello my friend...
art has been a little saver. my girls..well...feisty as usual. my little one didnt see it happen so she had no clue till she heard i had shots. my oldest was so scared. she has seen more than she should with my SPA monster on my back. she stayed at my mom's and kept calling on the cell. we spent some time together the next day even though i was still trying to shake off the shots they gave me. they gave me a horrible headache for some reason. luckily i go see my GP tomorrow and Art's insurance kicks in next month!! yahoo!

talk to you soon!
