If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Please God, let the answer be no!!!!
I have been NSD'ing for a few weeks now, and have had very few symptoms. I was trying to find something really tasty for my lunch and so had some Salad Nicoise, with Lettuce, Tuna, Anchovies, Olives, Capers, a nice chilli dressing and Eggs.
The way I saw it is that this was pretty , much starchless, and the most delicious thing ever, so why all of a sudden have I got worst symptoms????
For breakfast I have berries with natural yoghurt, granola, raisins and almonds, and have had for a few weeks now, and was fine. It seems to be since I have had an abundance of eggs (Omlettes for my dinner, scrambled eggs) that the pain has got worst................
Any advice?????
Steve

Hi Steve, I eat at least two jumbo eggs everyday without problem. Could it be an ingredient in the dressing? That would be the first thing I would examine. But, as mentioned previously, everyone is different and it may be you're unable to tolerate eggs?! Do consider activity level, too. I do very well on the NSD but if I add any activity that increases intestinal transit time, i.e., running, I am in trouble... LindaG

Steve, One other thing... I can't eat berries at all. Think it is because the seeds irritate my gut lining and increase leaky gut. I love and raise raspberries but, alas, can't eat a one without severe flare... LindaG

Steve, Also, and finally, what is in the granola? If it has cereal in it, such as oatmeal, that is a no-no... LindaG

What is in the chilli dressing? Any store bought sauses immediately are suspicious to me.
Both yogurt and granola would set me off... (yogurt after a 1-2 days). Granola immediately.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I may stop the Yoghurt, Granola and berries and see what happens. The dressing is fresh, made with olive oil and chilli vinegar.
Any tips on breakfast!!!!!!

I have two hard boiled eggs for breakfast, or yogurt and string cheese. so far I have been doing well with that, but have been thinking of having veggie soup that I made for breakfast. Who says we can't have salad or veggies for breakfast?

I know a lot of people here eat almonds, but if I have any more than 4 or 5 a day I will react, especially things made with almond flower. If you are having IBS symptoms, it could also be the result of food allergies.

Yoghurt - some people react to dairy. There has been talk in the past of the milk protein cassein being an issue (rather than lactose) Granola - off diet as it has grains vinegar - take care with this. I suspect I rect to foods with vinegar, but I am not certain. Maybe it disturbs my gut flora or something I dunno... for now it is just a suspicion
Once you are doing well it is a good idea to limit yourself to adding only one new food ingredient a day. That way there is little doubt as to what you reacted to.

ted says he reacts to almonds too, although mildly. My AS seems fine with almonds, but I get this weird conjunctivitis every time I eat them. Most likely a symptom of reiters syndrome (reactive arthritis) raising its head
