The intern tries to reach Level 4

Conga Rats, Doktor Mike!

1. Listen to the nurses

2. Avoid NICU as much as possible

3. Eat your vegetables

4. Did I say listen to the nurses?

Best of luck. I hope the Chief Resident is at least reasonable.

And remember...

Morning Report is only Morning Report, but a good cigar is a smoke!

Best regards,

the old fart

Congratulations Mike,

The world really needs more "GOOD" Doctors.

Re your interest in adolescent and developmental/behavioral medicine, a little bit of advice from a father of four boys ages 19 to 40. CHECK OUT THE PARENTS FIRST! I have seen so many cases where it was the parents who really needed a "Doctor"

Best of luck in all that you do.

Now you've mentioned this before and I just don't 'get it', so need to ask. Why is Rheumatology "icky"?
You aren't calling us spondylitics icky, I hope? Please remember that we rheumatology patients are a cool crowd.

Congrats!

The patients are fine... but the discipline is... eww...body attacking itself? And there's just so little you can do. And the treatments are far more art than science.

It's just not a very interesting field to me. Besides, my relationship with my AS is very different than my relationship with my ADHD. I want the AS to just go away. But you will separate me from my ADHD over my dead body!

Thanks for the congrats!

Mike:

Congrads!!!!!

I don't know how you did it- my six years of college was enough for me and I was healthy at the time.

I am sure people are very proud of you but us fellow ASers are even more proud of you because we know how challenging it is to live with this disease.

I wish you luck being a resident, and I hope your career is everything you dreamed of.

Good job and congratulations! I don't know how you stuck to it (I never could have), but I'm glad there will be another good doctor out there. Good luck!
