Finally made it, all the way up to you Evelyn. Thank goodness!

Thank you for your congratulations here and there this last week . It's been so nice to catch up a bit. I thought you'd be interested to know that my casual experience has become a full time, short term position . Thankfully (for me anyhow), it's non-lab based (more chart reviews and the like, possibly some patient contact), so I'm a happy girl.

Much love to you Evelyn. You'd be surprised how many times you find your way into our conversations (while fixing some gluten free pizzas for example, yum!) Just look at Loz's profile, you'll see what I mean!

Hugs,
Jeanna

Hey Kat!

Thank you so much for finding time to reply to our post during the very busy lead-up to your trip and hike!

We're so happy, and the other puzzle pieces are falling into place too. 2005 is definitely a banner year for us

Thanks honey. Hope to see more of YOUR pics soon too.

Hugs,
Jeanna

Who knows Sarah, where all those UK ASkickers (and one happily displaced Canadian) will meet up one day for a party. Wherever it shall be, I will hope to meet you there...

Thanks for your good luck wishes,

Jeanna

Hey Bilko!

Very nice that you popped into our thread to say hello. Not sure if your question was a sort of dry comment that you're oh-so-good-at, or if it was a genuine question, so you'll forgive me if I answer it appropriately, and keep the chuckling to a minimum

I was warned at passport control the last time I visited, to not visit the UK again until after I was married, with my settlement visa. (Stupid me, using the word 'fiance' at passport control. ) Anyhow, since we've been married, we've put together my visa application (you won't believe the amount of time and energy we put into it). Part of the application calls for my passport to be submitted (a tricky way to ensure people don't travel me thinks). When my application is approved, I'll get a visa, which I'll have to show at passport control. So in a round about way, since I have to show passport/visa to get into the UK, I need to show it to get to my ultimate destination of Leicester.

Thanks for your congrats. Many in fact. Aww Bilko, you're going soft on us.

Many hugs,
Jeanna

Oh dear. Bilko was joking. And now I've gone and answered him seriously when there was no need. Hhhmph.

You said it Jo. It's particularly good for it's pub crawls too, don't you think?

Oh, and, erm, what exactly is the Watford Gap? So much to learn.

Hey Ray!

Thanks for your hospitality and indulging me with my proofs the other night. Of course, the real treat for me was getting to see your wedding album (what a handsome couple, loved the daisies on the dress Carol!), and your daughter's album - with the dress to end all dresses!

We've firmed up a date ... I'm leaving Winnipeg on Nov 22. I've also started working full-time for the interim, so things will be tight, but I don't see a reason why we can't squeeze in another chat!

Hugs to you both, my fellow Winnipeg ASkickers.

Oh Maggie, please don't apologise for taking time to reply. Well wishes are ALWAYS welcome.

Gasping when you saw the photos? But seriously, that's a very sweet thing to say. If it isn't too pompous for me to say, the photos seem to evoke emotion in many who look at them. I think it has more to do with our story, and yes, like you've said, the happiness we share. We've been married three weeks (yesterday), but when we fell in love I was a goner. I've been married to Loz in my heart, mind and soul since then. It's like the last lines of our vows "I promise all that I have, and all that I am, for all of time".

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to gush Maggie. Hope you didn't mind.

Hugs,
Jeanna

Hey Donna!

Thank you for your kind comments, and for mentioning my husband's special smile . It really is the best, isn't it? Imagine how special I felt seeing that smile (and my gorgeous man) waiting for me at the end of the aisle. As I've already mentioned to someone else, when I heard the first bars of "What a Wonderful World" start playing, I didn't think I could do it. I was just overcome with emotion, my legs felt like jello. But then I saw my Loz, and that terrific smile he shares with the world, and suddenly everything was alright again.

We're really happy to have found each other, it's nice when other people say they're happy we did too.

Hugs,
Jeanna

Well Mrs Loz (!) now that you are licensed to administer poisons and crossing the Atlantic I do need to be careful, but your other half would never be taken in. A word of advice though, when your english and punjabi patients make jokes don't look mystified, just set a hard dismissive look on your face - they'll think you got it and will feel chuffed. Come to think of it, the way you change the subject - - -

'Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on. 'I do,' Alice hastily replied; 'at least - at least I mean what I say - that's the same thing , you know.' 'Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter.
